What is QAPI?

QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement) program looks to do two things: measure quality and ensure that quality improvement is ongoing.

QAPI is “data driven”, which means no hunches, guesses or assumptions. Beyond managing your quality processes, you also have to provide the detailed data to tell your quality story.  Skilled nursing facilities are required to develop and implement such a plan as mandated by the Affordable Care Act of 2010.

To assist in the development and implementation of a program that satisfies QAPI regulations, a comprehensive, easy-to-use tool like abaqis can help. For further information, read the following research brief from Providigm, creator of abaqis, related to quality improvement at nursing facilities.
