How CarePacs Helped

QuietPac trials were conducted at Dignity Health® St. John’s Regional Medical Center. Here are some ways in which they helped patients and staff:

  • Masks and earplugs helped ease patients during MRIs.
  • Nurses found mothers working through the puzzles in the middle of the night while their babies laid with them.
  • Nurses used the door sign and eye mask as visual cues that the patient was resting and made an effort to come back at a later time.

Introducing QuietPacs helped change the culture that contributed to upward trending HCAHPS scores.
