Education Support

Medline’s Continence Management Program’s educational courses standardize practice among your staff on the basics, including types of incontinence, appropriate product selection and application, and ways to improve resident dignity and quality of life.

But providing educational content is just the first step. Medline also gives you the support you need to make sure the education you provide for staff is being understood and utilized appropriately. We do this through reporting and access to experts who can help you understand where improvements can be made.

Medline University Courses

Your staff can take online courses on Medline University, where they will receive standardized training to help ensure that each member of your staff follows the same protocols.

Also included is access to test results, so you know who has passed and who might need some additional help. You can also keep track at a macro level, to see where the gaps are and where you need to focus improvements.

Check some of the course topics available to you on Medline University:

  • Nighttime Incontinence Management
  • Urinary Incontinence for CNAs
  • Fecal Incontinence
  • Disposable Absorbent Incontinence Products
  • Skin Care for the Incontinent Resident
Ask a Medline rep how your staff can enroll in these and other courses.

Staff members who have completed training receive a butterfly pin which they can wear proudly. It can also serve as motivation for other staff members to complete their training.

Education Management

Onboarding, Analytics, Support

The Program’s onboarding tool ensures that all new staff are educated in the same manner as your existing staff to reinforce standardization of care.

Once your staff is engaged with the program, Medline will provide reporting to help you understand where products are being used and how to optimize your spend. The Best Practice Report takes your facility’s product mix and sizing data and compares it to actual usage and spend data. This allows for a deeper analysis into your facility’s incontinence spend.

You can use this report in conjunction with the FitRight® Assessment Tool to help you achieve a high standard of care.
