Medline Awarded New Group Purchasing Agreement with Premier Inc.

100,000-plus members to benefit from negotiated pricing on surgical gloves

Mundelein, Ill., Aug. 25, 2016 – Premier Inc., a leading healthcare improvement company that unites an alliance of approximately 3,750 U.S. hospitals and 130,000 other providers to transform healthcare, recently awarded Medline with a new group purchasing agreement to help facilities maximize cost savings on surgical gloves.

Through this new three-year deal, Premier members will receive negotiated pricing on Medline’s more than 20 lines of surgical gloves, including Sensicare, Triumph, and Neolon.

“Knowing that surgical gloves are one of the most important pieces of protective wear for surgeons, Medline has created a comprehensive line that offers Premier members the opportunity to select the product that best matches their functional requirements and preferences,” said Derrick Fitchena, senior director of national accounts, Medline.

Furthermore, to ensure Premier members receive products when and where they need them, Medline has more than 40 distribution centers strategically located throughout the country.

The contract is effective through April 30, 2019.
