Reed Construction Selected To Complete New Medline Headquarters

CHICAGO, July 8, 2016 – Reed Construction is pleased to announce that the firm was recently selected to complete a build-out on behalf of Medline Industries, Inc. in Northfield, Illinois. More than 545,000 square feet of renovations are set to take place in the former Kraft Foods Corporate Headquarters to create Medline’s new, state-of-the-art headquarters.

Medline, a global medical supply manufacturer and distributor, provides products and clinical solutions to hospitals, physician offices, ambulatory surgery centers, nursing homes, home care and retail. This new space will strengthen the company’s ability to keep up with the rapidly changing healthcare environment and provide employees with a highly collaborative work environment. Reed Construction was selected by MB Real Estate and Medline to complete the project, which will include interior demolition and re-build of the large existing space, followed by construction of new offices, meeting rooms, break areas and more. Upon completion, more than half of the employees at One Medline Place in Mundelein, Illinois will make the move. The current campus will remain open for the next several years. Northfield construction is slated for completion in November.

Senior Project Manager Jason Gunderson will be leading the team for Reed Construction. Joining him will be Project Manager Chris Ashman, Project Engineer Kari Hanson, Senior Project Superintendent Jay Crane and Project Superintendent Michael Whited. Architectural services are being provided by Partners by Design. MB Real Estate is serving as the owner’s representative.
