Medline to donate portion of sales to National Fallen Firefighters Foundation

Mundelein, Ill., April 21, 2016 – Car crashes, natural disasters, and acts of violence will continue to create demand for the quick reaction and competent care provided by emergency medical personnel.  More than 241,200 EMTs and Paramedics make up this distinguished group and each day, we depend on these individuals to save lives.  While many use hospital-grade exam gloves, having the right kind of gloves designed to stand-up to the rigors of the field is critical to protect patients and personnel.  Today, leading exam glove maker Medline is unveiling a new solution specifically designed based on first responder feedback.

The highly visible, bright orange Critical Response^TM glove is designed to allow for greater sensitivity in the fingers and is considerably thicker than traditional gloves in the palm and cuff. This makes it easier to work with things like sweat, blood, mud and other elements.  In addition, the glove is approved by the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) and exceeds the FDA requirements for pinhole deficiencies (AQL 0.65) which contributes to the higher quality, strength, barrier integrity and durability of the glove and helps EMTs stay protected in the field.

Supporting the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation

Emergency medical technicians, firefighters, and other first-responders share a lifestyle that is dedicated to ensuring the safety of others.  They perform high-risk, demanding tasks, sometimes even sacrificing their own safety.
