SCM Alliance Selects Medline as Preferred Medical Products and Clinical Solutions Vendor

· New Partnership Aims to Improve Two Key Issues: Patient Skin Health and Hand Hygiene Compliance

Mundelein, Ill., Oct. 8, 2015 – Medline was recently awarded a five-year group purchasing agreement with SCM Alliance, a group purchasing organization that represents five acute-care health systems throughout the Florida region.

Through this agreement, SCM Alliance members will receive significant financial savings on the medical supplies distributor’s robust portfolio of hand hygiene and skin care products, such as Sterillium® Med.

“The vast number of patients suffering from skin care complications, like pressure ulcers, and the growing issue of hand hygiene compliance in the hospital setting led Medline to develop comprehensive programs consisting of evidence-based products and education for hospital staff and patients,” said Dennis Devlin, division vice president of sales, Medline. “By supplying SCM Alliance members with innovative products and educational support, we will be able to help healthcare facilities achieve clinical success and create safer environments for patients and healthcare workers.”

The contract is effective through Feb.29, 2020.
