Medline and Its Employees Contribute more than $50,000 to the American Heart Association Heart Walk to Help Fight Heart Disease
Medline Executives Join Nearly 400 Employees at the Heart Walk to Support the Cause
Mundelein, Ill., Oct. 1, 2015 – For the second year, hundreds of Medline employees and their families will proudly participate in the American Heart Association (AHA) 2015 Heart Walks to help fight heart disease and stroke, and celebrate heart-healthy living.
Cardiovascular disease is the leading global cause of death, accounting for 17.3 million deaths per year, a number that is expected to grow, according to the 2015 Heart Disease and Stroke Statistics Update. Medline and its employees are dedicated to supporting the AHA to help raise awareness about lifesaving research and preventive education.
To help make it easier for Medline employees to lead a heart healthy lifestyle, the company offers a wide range of wellness activities, including free blood pressure checks, heart healthy cooking videos, a teaching garden, healthier food options in the cafeteria, and seminars for employees to share how heart disease has impacted their families.
