Medline Appoints Sue MacInnes to Chief Market Solutions Officer to Drive New IDN Platform; Stu Schneider Becomes New Chief Marketing Officer
MUNDELEIN, Ill., Dec. 3, 2013 — Responding to the changing healthcare landscape of consolidation and the growing number of large integrated health systems, Medline Industries, Inc., the nation's largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of medical and surgical supplies, announced today key promotions within its leadership ranks. Sue MacInnes has been promoted to the newly created position of chief market solutions officer, and Stu Schneider will assume the role of chief marketing officer.
MacInnes has been with Medline since 1985 in pivotal sales and management positions of increasing responsibility. As the company’s chief marketing officer for the past 10 years, she oversaw the marketing strategy and sales efforts for 20 different product divisions and was integral in helping the company’s annual sales grow to nearly $6 billion. In her new position, she will be responsible for setting strategy to expand Medline’s presence among the country’s largest health and academic systems and grow the business through innovative, cost-effective solutions for today’s new healthcare market.
Schneider has been with Medline since 2010, most recently as group president, where he led product innovation and market expansion in several of Medline’s product divisions. He will replace MacInnes as chief marketing officer where he will be responsible for developing and implementing growth strategies for Medline across all its product and sales divisions. Prior to joining Medline, he served as senior director, Huggies Brand, and marketing director/platform leader, Cottonelle & Scott Brands, for Kimberly-Clark.
“Both Sue and Stu have demonstrated a strong commitment to our customers, increased the effectiveness of our product portfolio and maintained a disciplined focus on financial results,” said Andy Mills, president of Medline. “Their deep healthcare experience and customer-centric approaches will best position us to provide clear, practical and highly measurable solutions to healthcare systems across the continuum of care.”
