Ebola Preparedness

With confirmed case of Ebola in the United States, we understand that many customers will have questions and concerns. Medline is committed to helping and serving you and we are taking proper steps to manage inventory to remain prepared.

What is Ebola?
According to the CDC, “Ebola virus disease (EVD), formerly known as Ebola hemorrhagic fever, is a severe, often fatal illness in humans. The virus is transmitted to people from wild animals and spreads in the human population through human-to-human transmission. Ebola spreads through human-to-human transmission via direct contact (through broken skin or mucous membranes) with the blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of infected people, and with surfaces and materials (e.g. bedding, clothing) contaminated with these fluids.”

The CDC has additional information about Ebola here: http://www.cdc.gov/vhf/ebola. The World Health Organization (WHO) has information about Ebola here: http://www.who.int/csr/disease/ebola/en. Both sites have additional information on the disease as well as other resources.
