Medline Sponsors March of Dimes ‘March for Babies’ Lake County Fundraising Walk

More than 1,000 to participate to help raise awareness for premature babies

This Sunday, more than 1,000 walkers in Lake County will participate in the March of Dimes® “March for Babies” event to support research to help understand and prevent premature birth and other serious problems that threaten babies. Mundelein-based Medline Industries, Inc. is the title sponsor for the “March for Babies” walk, which is helping to raise awareness and money for programs in Lake County that help mothers have full term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives.

As the largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of health care products in the United States, Medline supplies thousands of pediatric products to hospitals in Lake County and throughout the country that help nurses and doctors provide quality care to newborn babies.

“We are proud to be involved in this important event to help raise awareness and support local programs for premature babies,” said Jim Abrams, Medline’s chief operating officer. “March for Babies is a natural fit for Medline as our people and products are in hospitals and maternity wards every day to help provide quality care to babies born too soon.”

The money raised from the “March for Babies” event supports programs in Lake County that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies, and to fund research to find answers to the serious problems that threaten more than a million babies each year throughout the country.

In addition to being the title corporate sponsor of the local Lake County “March for Babies” walk, Team Medline has more than 200 employees and their family members set to participate.
